Witton Lakes and Brookvale Park Lake are close by, with the lakes and surrounding parkland maintained as leisure amenities by Birmingham City Council, where you can enjoy walks, cycling or water activities.

Transport
The city is well served by rail. Birmingham New Street, Moor Street and Birmingham International stations connect directly with 84 towns and cities across the UK. Birmingham New Street alone has more direct connections than any other station. You can reach Birmingham New Street from Erdington Train Station in under 15 minutes, and what’s more Erdington Train Station is within walking distance of Erdington Gardens, taking around 11 minutes.
At the heart of the country’s motorway network with easy access to the M6, M6 Toll, M5, M42 and M54, Birmingham is easy to get to by car. And once you’re here it couldn’t be easier to get around and visit the region. We are well served by local buses, trams and cycle ways.
Birmingham Airport welcomes more than 50 airlines from over 100 destinations. It’s located next to the M42 motorway, with Birmingham International train station right next door, putting passengers in the city centre within 10 minutes. Birmingham couldn’t be better connected.
Education
Education options are plentiful with an array of public and private schools nearby, so schooling is taken care of. Erdington and the local area, has an excellent selection of good quality schools, with some within just a short distance.
College education is also easily accessible with a variety of choice all within a 5 mile radius, including the Birmingham Metropolitan College, Sutton Campus.
For University education Aston University and Birmingham City University can be reached very easily in approx. a 15 minute drive, as they are located within 6 miles from Erdington Gardens. Or a little further, is the University of Birmingham, this is still only just over 7 miles away from the development. A great choice for those stay at home students.
Also you can take advantage of the Erdington Library which is only a 15 minute walk, or visit the Library of Birmingham. Situated in the City Centre this fantastic building which opened in 2013 caters for everyone, regardless of age, background or circumstances.

You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to shopping. Start in Erdington or Wylde green high streets, or take a short drive to the fort shopping park, offering over 40 big name stores.
